Rivers, streams or springs have given their names to people, villages, towns, cities, nations and countries and have usually served as market places, roads for traffic and places to celebrate funerals or marriage ceremonies. Every extended family or tribe evolves its distinct ethical code with their springs, streams, rivers, oceans or any other water sources. Water therefore links families, people and communities, and a glass of water is one of the unwritten norms and codes of acceptance.
